Zoloft is to be taken by mouth normally once a day. It can be taken with food, or without it. Follow the instructions of your doctor each time you get your medications. The recommended way of taking the dosage prescribed is the same time each day. Zoloft is better taken in the evening or in the morning. Your personal response to the therapy as well as other factors should determine the dosage.
